1) Running or walking about 10 to 20 miles a week. I use my stepper if the weather is really bad, although.

2) Weight lifting. I use hand held weights, because they fit nice and compact in the room (not like a bar with weights). They can be as low as 3 pounds or as high as 50 pounds each or more.

3) In a nutshell, try natural foods. Avoid all processed foods (except once in a while, if it is difficult etc.). Natural foods are like whole grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, milk, eggs, nuts, and seeds etc. Basically, stay away from the foods that have processed sugars, artificial sweetners, and chemicals etc. I avoid all sodas and fast-foods too. Water is best after a workout.

I hope that helps. You should notice a difference after months. You'll have to read up more about it. It will take some effort and I think you'll be pleased. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Run or walk 10-20 miles a WK??!!

I think the person wants to GAIN weight not lose weight lol. If you are a hard gainer, do not do aerobic exercises, that will negate all weight that you do gain.

Try and workout using weights. Try low reps, with a good amount of weights you can do about 6 times. Do exercises on the major muscle groups and worry bout definition later, you need to bulk up first. That means Chest, Thighs, Biceps, and Shoulders as well as abodominal exercises.

Try to eat a lot... and I mean a lot.. try and go for 500 calories every 2 hrs, every day.

Good luck and keep at it.

actually it means doing your basic power movements -
bench, squats, deadlift, military press, pull/chin ups, bent over bb rows.
to gain weight, increase your calories anywhere from 200 to 500 cals above maintanence. Make sure they are good quality calories, dont just ad a bigmac a day.
a breakdown i use that seems to work well is 50%carbs, 35% protien, 15% fats.

Eat. Lots. Alot of low fat protein (eg tuna, chicken etc), alot of unrefined complex carbs (eg brown rice, potatoes, vegetables etc). Don't eat alot of fat though. Or you'll get... fat... surprisingly....

Like one of the above replies said, eat every 2-3 hours so you're eating 5-6 small/medium sized meals a day (500-600 cals per meal)

I have a friend who was a little shorter than you and weighed about 110 or less. She put on about 10 pounds by just eating more and not skipping meals.
