Dear Dawnpenn,
I am a Kaiser member in Colorado, and have a wonderful pain doc in the internal medicine department. I would advice you contact the internal medicine department and explain your situation so they may refer you to the proper care specialist. There are very good docs with Kaiser who take wonderful care of CP patients. You can always contact the UCLA, medical school, who know of the docs who work for Kaiser who have attended med school there, you can usually get great referals from the med schools as they are in the know of knowing which docs take care of patients such as ourselves. Also another thought, you pharmacists who work at the Kaiser pharmacy where you are a member are a good resource who know which docs manage CP patients. This would save you a lot of time and get you a referral quickly of whom you should schedule an appointment with. Good Luck.
