I cannot control it, but everytime I let myself fall a sleep the hideous thing happens again until i force myself to wake up by pinching my cheeks! My throat feels so swollen that it slike closing and then my tummy also feels weird... my ears hurt too... then this afternoon while watching yv.. it happend again! anyone experience this? It's caused by either LPR or sleep apnea or a combination of the two. Don't get stressed out by it (stress makes it worse) but it's very common. Awful feeling though.

Had it checked the other day.. my GI doest look bothered, just gave me another prescription of PPI. For a couple of nights now I slept without disturbance but then I had a very bad nightmare and still very tired even just after I woke up :( And I also feel unbelievably sleepy even in normal hours of the day like I just can fall asleep even I am standing up... is this normal for GERD? Does anyone also experience this??

Now taking anti-bitoic for my swollen throat somehow felt better... I cant believe Ihave to see a different doctor just for the nausea and throat problems.. why cant the GI do anything about it.. its like theyre only role in life is to do endoscopy and to prescribe PPIS!

Antibiotics make stomach problems even worse. When you've finished your antibiotic treatment get a probiotic immediately. Garden of life primal defense HSO probiotic is widely available. I'm currently taking that.

Like someone else said antibiotics are rough on the stomach. Try eating yogurt. There are so many kinds of Drs. and they only handle their specialty. I know I get really frustrated with it, too. I have several Drs. for my health issues and it drives me crazy. Hope things go better for you.

I can't hardly sleep due to my GERD. It isn't any fun. I have to make sure that I don't eat anything after 2-3 hours before I go to bed and that seems to help. I can't have any caffeine because it irritates My GERD like crazy and makes everything burn. I hope this helps.
