I found the Linden Method to be an expensive way to stop anxiety. It really didn't help me as he suggests just ignoring your anxiety and stop taking the meds. It didn't help me as my anxiety was biological and not just situational. I hope that you don't waste money like I did.

Sorry to be negative, but it is the truth.

Hi StressedTeacher,
Thanks for the input. I think my anxiety is biological too. However, I do
think your mindset has a lot to do with it also. I get anxiety, then I get
anxious because of the anxiety. Fear of the Fear as the psychologist says.
I take Ativan with some help. Had been on Serzone (antiD) for years but
it was discontinued and we can't find another that I feel well on. Either it
gives me anxiety or it upsets my stomach. Do you mind me asking if you are
on meds and if so, which ones are helping you with your anxiety??

Sounds like you purchased the Linden Method, but what exactly are you
supposed to do with it, are they tapes you listen to?? Or is it meditation?

Thanks again for replying.

The Linden Method pretty much saved my life. I haven't had a panic attack since using the program. There is a post about it on the Panic Board that is really helpful.

I too found the Linden Method very helpful. It teaches you how to relax, how to stop a panic attack from developing into a full blown one, and how to divert your thoughts/interests and move on with your life. You can check out their web site and call them to find out more details. Their support team is very, very good.

The writer himself was a sufferer of anxiety disorder, so he really understands our mind and behavior. It may be hard first for some sufferers to ignore their symptoms and move on with their lives, but in the long run it IS the ultimate tool to get back to normal again! I haven't had much problem with panic and anxiety since I started following the Method early this year. I have panic attacks fully under control, and my anxiety is mostly gone as well.

I am now taking a small dose of Prozac, only for my mild depression, not for anxiety. I was given Xanax, but I found I hardly ever need to use it, since anxiety isn't a problem for me anymore.

PS. The Linden Method has a one-year return policy. So you have nothing to lose. If you don't find it helpful, you can always return it!

Thanks for your input. I will check out the site. I pretty much conquered
the panic attacks in 1984 w/ counselling. Eventually conquered the anxiety
too for many years then it started again. That is when I was put on Serzone
and now that has been discontinued and other anti-d just aren't working for
me as far as the anxiety. It's my anxiety that causes the depression.
Vicious cycle! I'm going to try to get more info on the Linden, I am taking
Ativan, very small dose until we find something I can take.
Thanks again.

Well, I kind of did chk, it is expensive, but have to find a sight that explains
more about what it involves, not just the price!
