It is hard to say. They say that your periods should return within 6 months, but I didn't get my 1st period until 5 years after I stopped. I was on Depo for 2 years, so a lot longer than you were, but still............5 years is a long way off from 6 months!!!

If 6 months go by and your period hasn't returned, tell your doctor about it.

I was on it for about 3yrs and it took me about 8months to get back on track, so don't worry if nothing happens for a while (or even a long time!) because things like this are very individual :)

Hi,

I was on Depo for about a 1 year and half and when i was due for my last shot i started my period right away. I was getting my period like every other week for 5 days for about 4 months and then it started to spread out. And now i get it every 21 days as i did before being on any bc. I hope this info helps.

My sister got hers after about a year (she was on it for 2 years) and I got mine after only a month and a half (I only had 2 injections). I think it depends on the girl.
