Just wondering, are you anywhere near the start of your cycle? I get them a lot just before and a few days into my cycle. I've seen others say the same thing and I alos posted that on your questionaire you did a while back - just wondering.
Hope you're feeling better today!

Me too! My palps will be really good for like 3 weeks, and then right at the time for my period and a few days into it my heart goes crazy. Thats why I am on the board right now ~ seeking comfort from fellow sufferers. Does it still scare you even though you know what it is and that it isn't life threatening? I have had them for over 20 years and every time I have them it scares me. Why can't I be free of the fear if not the palps? I get so discouraged. I do everything I am supposed to like magnesium, no sugar, no caffeine, exercise. So WHY do I have to have these episodes? Do you guys get worried and discouraged? How do you overcome the emotional toll it takes? Some times I cope better than others, but this month I am not handling it very well.

I'm having a bad day too. I've had this condition since 1990. Since then my heart has had many millions of skipped beats. Perhaps 20 million or more after 17 years of this. (I can tell when they happen when I feel that zing.)
The cause could be a combination of things. During times I really feel upbeat, these don't seem to happen, but during times when I feel not so upbeat (like now) they do. A few weeks ago I made a long trip by car and was upbeat, and didn't even think about skipped beats, and in all that driving, nearly 24 hours of driving over 2 days, not one single skipped beat happened.
Good luck hope you feel better tomorrow.

I understand this is common and nothing to worry about. However, several days I wake up around 3:30 a.m. and notice that my heart is skipping evry 3rd to 5th beat. Drives me crazy especially since my resting heart rate is very low (45 to 50 bpm) due to medication I am taking since my recent heart attack.

hello. my pvc's have been awful since i stopped taking birth control. normally my heart acts up when i get my period so i wonder if being off of birth control is messing with my hormones and messing with my heart? my husband and i are going to work on having another baby, which is a bit scary for me bc i didnt have any heart issues until i had my first child. after that i developed svt, had a succesful ablation and now have pvc's and pac's. i was on toprol which lowers my blood pressure too much and does nothing for the irregular heartbeats. i have just been dealing with the extra beats, but they'vve just gotten worse since i stopped taking birth control. anybody else have a similar experience??
