1. About eating healthy..well..eh, being an asian family, you guessed it. We eat chinese food almost every night, so I don't have much of a choice about that. I try to pick out the veggies and rice and eating the less fat foods..but what should I do?
2. Okay, I know it's crap, but I only have an orbitrek, what should I do? I can't afford a teadmill, as Im only 15(I don't get paid much..)

I don't really know what to tell you about your food deal. I'm not really familar with chinese food. All depends on what you want to do? Gain or lose? The thing about running is you don't have to have a treatmill or any other type of equipment unless it is like winter. But, if your looking to do any type of cardio vascular then find a flight of stairs, run down the street, go to the park, ride a bike. I prefer doing cariovascular work outside instead of inside.

My best m8 is chinese an OWNS a take away, so i eat a lot of that food...Tasty. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Stay away from things like duck an a few of the sauces that might have a lot of grease in em, like the sweet an sour sauces, as i remember they were a bit fatty. Concentrate on the rice an veggies like u r, but be open to things like fish an chicken, which (judgin by my m8) u may eat a lot of with chinese meals.

The thing about rice is that its high in carbs, and the sauce might contain MSG which isn't too healthy. Running is probably the best source of aerobic exercise. You can always jump rope, or jump on the trampoline if you have one. If you want exercise tapes... Try to look for Kathy Smith aerobic tapes, or Tae-Bo. Good luck!

BTW - I know rice is high in carbs, but apart from that whats the kinda nutritional value of it really? I always took it as a cheap food that did nuthin but make u feel full after not eatin much, really filling i mean. Is it really that bad for u?

Rice isnt bad for you. If you are going to eat rice, dont order fried rice, and eat brown rice instead. Rice is just high in carbs...
But... If you're 15 you shouldnt really follow a low carb diet since you're still growing. Just cut down.
