I dont have a gym any were arround here and therefor I dont have any where to go to that has very heavy weights. so my queastion is I only have 200lbs of weights so how can I determen my (1 rep max) with the amount of reps I can do with my 200lbs. I can do 28 to 32 reps (depending on the day) in one long set.

allegedly there is some kind of formula... I have seen an online calculator, though it did not explain where the calculation came from. To be accurate, of course you will need more weight. Just make sure you have a spotter when going max.

I dont think I'm going to trust the online calculator.. (It told me that my max bench was over 650lbs) LOL

Isent there any hard core lifters hear that can give me a good estimate on what I should be able to bench? Ill probably have to try to find a gym to find out what my max is. I just hate to drive the 2hrs to get there.

Thats alot of reps on the bench u are doing. Some people have more endurance -slow twitched muscles, others have mor fast twitched - power lifter type. THe average person can do 8-12 reps of their 80%max . If u are in that average range 22 reps with 200lbs/ bar included (reps touching chest)you should be able to bench about 350 lbs. Figure 20-25lbs for each 4 reps. Hope this helps.

For example I used to do 8 reps w/ 300lbs, 13 reps with 275, 18 reps with 250, 23 with 225 I think. I used to do 33 reps on the bench w/ 135 for warmup to slight failure.

I used the bulgarian method of benching :superfast on the up and super slow on the negative. Switched hand position for every set, and stretched chest muscles between sets. I only did 3 set a exercise and never took any supplements except vitamins/ minerals, chromium pilcolinate (helps to maintain mass) and inosine for energy
