My trainer said that she may start me on those. What brands are good to take and mg etc.??

Hopefully I will get a response to one of my questions.

At GNC there are some amino acid pills. There are Glutamine, Aminogen, and about 3 or 4 other ones. Amino Acids are the building blocks of protein. they maintain protein synthesis in the body which helps you build muscles. It will also keep you from getting sore. They also give energy.

Wait.... if you are eating properly as your trainer should have instructed you to, you certainly do not need amino acid supplements. There are plenty of foods that provide all the amino acids you need. If you supplement for everything, it gets expensive, excessive and is generally unnecessary. If you get to the point where a little extra is needed (ie. glutamine) then consider it, but if you're not going for mass, it shouldn't be an issue.
You might want to ask about getting as much nutrition without supplements as possible. You'll get better quality vitamins and overall nutrition that way. If you get to the point where a little extra is needed (ie. glutamine) then consider it
Where did this trainer come from?

I just started with this trainer one week ago. She told me that she does not want me on any supplements but since I struggled that maybe some amino acids later if I still struggle. She tells me constantly that if I do not have a "clean" diet that it will only hurt me. She has me writing down everything that I eat and next week we will go over it and she will give me a daily diet lined out so that I will get what I need. Everyone I talk to says something different so it gets quite confusing.
