View Full Version : Hot flashes/Flushing... anyone experience this?

For the past couple of days I've been getting flushed at the same time of day, in the afternoon. It lasts for a couple of hours though... Of course, I immediately looked up the symptom "flushing" and diagnosed myself with a fatal illness... :( I hate it when I do this, cause I always have serious bouts with worry and anxiety afterwards... for days or even weeks/months!

Could this flushing be a result of my anxiety? My face felt very hot and my husband said it was red. I looked in the mirror, and it was more of a "pink". I am only 32, and I think I'm too young to experience menapausal symptoms... I don't want to go to my doctor (again) for a symptom that I think is going to cause me to die. It's getting embarrassing...

Tell me your thoughts... Please!? :)

At 32 I wouldn't think it was menopausal, are you taking a vitamin with niacin in it ? I do the same thing periodically during the day (my ears get red) but am 60, off premarin 2 months ago but suffer from anxiety too so who knows. We are our worst enemies looking up diseases aren't we ? I have night sweats too and was recently (3 mo ago) diagnosed with sinus tachacardia and on medication for that and it helped for awhile with night sweats but now back at it..and like you I hate to go back to Dr. AGAIN, she is about sick of me I'm sure. But, if it continues to bother you they are there to care for us so go talk to your dr. or a health nurse. Keep in touch..God Bless and hang in there ..

Do you eat a lot of Carbs around that time of day or before it happens?

Hmmm... That could be. It's been happening just about an hour or so after I eat lunch each day. Could that be the cause?
