Does anyone have any secrets on how to make your hair shiny? I have had my colored and now it's not very shiny at all.

I heard that washing your hair with cold water helps make it shine, but personally I don't know if it works because I haven't tried it.
Herbal Essences Shimmery Nights spray is really good. It even makes hair smell great and feel soft.
Citre Shine shampoo is great, and so is Herbal Essences Citrus Lift volumizing shampoo.
Tip: Be sure not to use too much hair product and when you do, be sure to wash it out completely because after a while your hair will loose its kink.

Did you go lighter? Sometimes that happens if you do.
Hot oil treatments seem to work well for this.

I've done the cold water thing and all it did is make the end of my shower cold :( Didn't do anything to my hair.

Have you considered a glossing treatment? I know some salons offer that and there are even kits where you can do it yourself.. I know Clairol makes one. I haven't tried them but I'm sure that would add a lot of shine! My salon doesn't offer them but I may look into another place to get that done.

Yes the glossing treatments I think are called demi-permanents, the brand I think is called "Shades". They are at salons... can do clear or colored treatments. This I guess is the most effective. How to get the glassy look.

I heard that washing your hair with bottled watter instead of shower water makes your hair really shiny.

I've been using Trader Joe's "Essentials" shampoo and conditioner and my hair has never been this healthy and shiny...and it's only $2.99. It's made with essential oils and jojoba oil etc. I absolutely love it. I have long straight fine hair (but a lot of it) and it works for me.
