today is thursday and i just started birth control pill this last sunday. i am on 10th day of my cycle so not ovualting yet. i have also been on antibioitcs which messes up the pill. i had unprotected sex today.what are my chances of getting pregnant since it is first week to start pill and i am a few(4) days from ovulating?

hmmmm it's hard to say day 10-19 of your cycle are fertile days, as far as the rhythym method goes, plus you haven't taken the pill very long. I'd say there is a possibility. Why did you take the chance?

You do not ovulate on the pill (generally, rarely it has been known to happen). Also, if you are a Sunday start (and Sunday was not the first day of your period) I think you need to use additional backup protection with the pill the first week to be safe. Antibiotics can increase the odds of ovulating on the pill though I believe recent evidence suggests antibiotics may not interfere as much with the pill as previously thought. If you are worried, go out and get Plan B.
