I have decided to give recovery another shot. I wrote out what has helped me in the past and what has set me up for relapses. And I am figuring out ways to change things in order to prevent relapses. I've been slowly realizing that I don't know what's going to happen with this ED thing because my mind goes back and forth. So I'm going to give myself 21 days and really try my best to make a lot of progress in that period. There isn't a time limit on recovery, and that's not what I'm saying with this. I'm just going to try again for at least that period of time. Hopefully after that I'll keep going.
So I'll follow my meal plan 5 days each week and try to make some other big changes in those 21 days. I'm hoping that it goes well.

Hey, that is awesome! I am rooting for you! Please keep us posted.
Is there any significance of the number 21? I am just curious why you chose that number.
Nevertheless, it is wonderful that you are thinking so positively. GREAT JOB!

i figured 21 days or 3 weeks was a good number because 4 weeks seemed too long and 2 seemed too short. ;-)

Of course you can join me! The last day I purged was March 19th, so I'm 10 days in. I've been following my meal plan for the most part, and I have been trying many different exercises at the gym. For me, I've made working out less about burning calories and more about admiring what my body can do. It's really helping with my body image. I'm hoping to go longer than 21 days, but that's my short-term goal. ;-)

Something my therapist gave me...made me think a lot.
"Funny how we think we can operate fine without fual (food), but freak out when the sppedometer in the car reads "empty." After all it's the same kind of idea."

yes i agreee witht he lat comment and it is true! i dont realize how much better i feel when i eat right and excercize right instead of not eating and over exercizing. i have more energy and im actaully happier and more aware of what sgoing on around me instead of stuck in my own head ya know? i have gone almost a week. i kinda slipped a lil last night but i feel like i had a lil bit of control instaed of none at all. so on to week 2 here we go! and ill give your idea of changing it up at the gym a try sounds fun to appreciate my body instead of destryoing it! we are beausitful, we just have to realize it. . .
