View Full Version : what are they?

okay, so I have callus' on the outside of each big toe. I spend all my time at work on my feet in tennis shoes. One night they (the callus) started to hurt. So I looked, and appeared that there was a little hole in the middle. Only on my left toe. Well, now there is one on the right as well and they both get sore-my mom told me they were plantar warts, but reading about them-they don't resemble warts and are not on the right spot for plantar warts-maybe they are just old calluses that need to be shaved down? I don't know. I had some docs at work take a peek and they had no idea. When I use a pumice to try and make them go away, that hurts too. ANy ideas? It seems my hubby MIGHT have one as well. But, neither of us have had any sores, broken skin etc... and again, they don't look like plantar warts.
Thanks
