I had an austin bunionionectomy and hammertoe fixed Thurs, March 8th. I'm having some things happen that I DON'T remember from last time. It seems that my big to is drawing up on me like a charlie horse type thing. It starts in the arch and you can SEE my big too SEIZE up. Is this NORMAL??? Has this happened to anyone before?! It HURTS SOOOO BAD!!!

I'm still using crutches to help with weight bearing and the swelling doesn't seem too bad!!

I've also woke up the last 2 morning feeling shaky and weak. I can't get enought sleep and I've also had night sweats for the last 2 nights/days. Has this happened to anyone post-op? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm back to work part-time but even that makes me SOOOO TIRED!!!

thank you,
AMY!!

I can't say that I experienced quite what you're referring too, but perhaps a call and or visit to your doctor would be a good thing to do. It would put your mind at ease and he/she could offer you some advice on how to eleviate this discomfort you're feeling. Do you have a fever at all? Going back to work so soon after your surgery may be making things more difficult for you at this time too. I hope that you are feeling more comfortable soon and please do let me know how you're doing.
Best Regards, Tootsie:)

Hi. Back to work 8 days post-op seems too soon to me.
Not knowing your age or any pre-existing medical conditions, it's hard to say what could be causing your symptoms.
I ditto tootsie...call your doctor...better safe than sorry.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing. J.

I don't think I'm running a fever. I've called the doc to ask for some muscle relaxers or SOMETHING. It just draws up on me for anywhere from a min (longest min EVER) to a few min. Then relaxes and feels OK. I NEVER have night sweats!! I'm hoping the doc calls back soon!!!

Thank you for all of your replies. I'm going home from work here in just a MIN!!! I'll be back FULL time next week. I've run out of sick/vac time and I have 3 small children to support (2 five yr olds & 1 three yr old) so I HAVE to work!

Thank you,

AMY

MYJO,

I'm 31 yrs old and in pretty good health. Acid reflux is my only problem!! What causes night sweats anyway??

Could be pain...fever...could be meds.
I had very disturbed sleep while on pain meds.
Does your state have any short term disability that you might be eligible for? J
