I suffered a heart attack a year ago. Prior to my attack I was taking adderall for ADD but my cardioligist says no no no to adderall now. Have any of you ever taken Wellbutrin for ADD after having a heart attack and did you have any bad side effects? I also suffer from depression since the attack so I'm hoping the Wellbutrin will treat 2 illnesses at the same time.

Have any of you ever taken Wellbutrin for ADD after having a heart attack and did you have any bad side effects? I also suffer from depression since the attack so I'm hoping the Wellbutrin will treat 2 illnesses at the same time.I took Wellbutrin for over 2 years and found that it didn't do much for me. I quite taking it about 2 months ago and feel no different. Never had many side effects, alto I think it actually made me more nervous. I find that I cope easier now that I am off of it. I was originally given Wellbutrin to help me quit smoking and for anxiety after my second heart attack. Besides, my drug bill is over 600.00 dollars a month without it and I have no insurance and haven't worked since my 3rd heart attack (stent thrombosis). I was implanted with 2 Taxus express2 after my 2nd one.

Good luck
