For those of you that have LPR I've tried something new that seems to be helping. I tend to only get the reflux at night when sleeping, also I noticed if I wake up at 3AM I dont' have it. But it seems to start in that 4-7AM time frame. I've started setting the alarm to 3AM and taking a pepcid complete. It seems to really help. Also if you can tolerate it, you may want to take one when you go to bed and then another at 3 or 4AM. My doctor said it was fine to do this. He said the pepcid is losing it's peak effectiveness after 4 hours so this was a good approach.

I am botherd, as I dont seem to have any reflux at night but I almost always wake up to a very sore throat... I am thinking, could it be the cold air I breath in at night irritating my throat? as I notice the air I breath in is always cold even its the temprature is hot. the nasal drip also seems to be dry when I wake up. But my throat hurts really bad.

I think your just not noticing the reflux. I use to feel the reflux coming up at night, I don't anymore but I know I have it. When I don't use the Pepcid Complete my throat really hurts and bothers me all day, if i use it right (making sure I take it at 3Am) I can get through the day with very little throat problem.

A friend of mine who has LPR like me says his is gone. Said he stopped eating after dinner and started exercising about an hour a day. I may try that and see what happens, I stopped exercising before because reflux was coming up into throat when exercising, but what the hell, I have nothing to loose.
