I went to my colon surgeon today after many phone calls to see if his schedule would be open. I found out and am scheduled for a lapro resection rectpexy due to my full thickness prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction on April 11. I was told that the surgery would be 4-5 days inpatient then a 4-6 week recovery.
Has anyone had this surgery before? What can I expect? How soon would I be able to return to work after the surgery?
I'm a little bit nervous about the surgery however I believe that this will help my quality of life and I'm trying to stay focused on the positive instead of the nervousness.
Thanks for your help! :)
