Hello everyone!

I found this board searching for suggestions on my AR/Gerd issues. I am a 29 year old male. My background is that i was going to the gym every other day for the past 1 year. My diet was pretty clean

My symptoms are kind of weird and i was wondering if there are others who might have experienced similiar symptoms and hopefully have a mean to help me get rid of them

I started to have Nasuea with regurgitation back in Jan, At first i had no idea what it was until i started researching, Made an appt with a dr in last week of Jan who prescribed Protonix for me, Took it for a month and then went and saw him again. Everything was fine, minor regurgitation but my Nausea just wont subside at all, So he referred me to a GI specialist, booked an appt with him for 2 weeks later while i stayed on Zantac.

I was feeling pretty decent before i got the endoscopy done last wednesday (found a hiatus hernia and inflammation) he also did a biopsy but has not called back with the results yet. I am currently on prilosec OTC one a day.

I had my blood test done too and everything is normal including thyroid levels

My biggest concern is this Nausea, How can i make it go away. I am considering surgery cause i dont see me leading my life in this horrible way at all. The weird part is it occurs when i am driving usually, If all this wasnt bad enough i am starting to get panic attacks too once in a while.

Sorry for the haphazard post but my mind is a turmoil! If someone has a suggestion then please pass it on. Is this something i am going to be living with for the rest of my life?

Ok my doc just called finally and said i have chronic inflammation from too much acid, With proper diet and medication is should get under control.

As for the hernia its not an issue.

Does this make sense??

I work out all the time too, and lift weights for the last ten years; have lpr since last may, then had endoscopy in jan after terrible bout of heartburn; found small hiatal hernia but no irritations, or signs of reflux after manometry and ph test; go figure...the recomend3d treatment for hiatus hernia is two ppi's a day for two months followed by one...i've been off nexium for five weeks, and doing okay. i'm thinkng aobut having the hernia surgically repaired...but worry about my trainin future...

My nausea together with a pressure in my head, ear pain and throat lumps are just few of my concerns but thehighlights of it by now... my nausea is bad i feel like I am spinning so fast I thought I am about to fall down. I am currently on PPI, 2 caps a day but still feel the same.. mines hiatal hernia too with irritations... I real feel weird like my symptoms are worse than the others but my GI doesnt seem to be bothered by it ... Im currently at lost what to do...

Thank you for your responses and concern
after speaking to him this evening he suggested i stop by and pick up 2 week of Nexium from his office, he also said that protnix is among the weakest PPI so maybe this will help.

Today was the first time that i didnt experience nausea while driving back from work, although around lunch time it was hurting pretty bad. I am guessing its cause i have added Zantac to the mix of prilosec. I am in the sales business so i feel totally depressed talking to people

The Dr said i have chronic inflammation in my LE. I was wondering if anyone else has this symptom and is it temporary? As for the hernia he said its not a cause of concern. i am trying to fix me an appt with another dr who can offer a second opinion.

So can someone shed some more light on LE issues and inflammation is it a chronic issue or a temporary?? I looked all over the net but not even one suggested that its a light issue infact they are scary with them suggesting that it may start closing up making swallowing difficult :( :( :(

Chikkie i read a lot of your post and sincerely my heart goes to you. i pray all of us feel better.

Tim: I worked out so i can have a healthier life and suprisingly it went the opposite way so i dont think i am gonna focus on lifting heavy any more (read on the net that its not suggested for people with hernia).. I am gonna work out towards cardio once i get out of my depression stage.
