so i usually let the water do the cleaning when i take a shower. but the thing is the next day when i pull my foreskin back it smells and smegma builds up again.
should i start taking shower twice a day instead of once a day?? also i heard some people use unscented soap, lol what are those because i only see scented ones. what brand of soap?? thanks
also i was thinking should i get a paper towel and when i'm showering wet it and wash my penis with that?? maybe put a little soap on it?? i need tips and advice, thanks

Please don't be afraid to use soap! If you need a mild soap with little to no perfume, try plain white dove soap! Some men can get away with out cleaning with soap, but there are those of us who can't! Water alone just doesn't do the trick. try the dove, it's one that has been recommended by some doctors. It doesn't irritate your skin, and it will help with cleaning away the smegma! Any soap just about will do I guess, but dove is a good one to try if you haven't already. After washing, and drying off, I've found that a bit of baby oil around/over my penis, the head and under the foreskin keeps me smelling fresh, and helps with the smegma problem. Now, this may not help some men, but, you might try it! Let me know if it works..Good luck!

Some men clean fine with water. I'm one of them. Soap causes my glans skin to peel. If you use soap, which is fine for many men, use something mild. Deoderant soaps are definitely out. Lava is not highly recommended. Castille soap or glycerine soap is good. If you can use Ivory on a baby, you can use it on yourself.
Some men and women produce smegma quickly. Some don't. You might have to wash every day. This is not a bad thing.
Glad to hear your progress has been so quick.
