On average, my BP is around 140/85 and heart rate is 85 - 90 bpm. Sometimes after eating or just moving around for a little while, my BP sometimes rises to 150/95 and heart rate jumps to 101 - 105 bpm. I've been to the Dr's and have been told I have a heart murmur but that the two EKGs I have done look perfectly normal. I am on Metoprolol 50 mg once daily. I use to take it twice daily but it gave me side effects so was instructed to bring it back down to once daily. Dr's act like it's no big deal.....
Is this something that I really need to worry about? Go see a cardiologist perhaps? I am a 25 y/o male. 6' 0" and 255 lbs. Thank you.

Your BP could use a little trimming down (140/80 is generally the limit for what is considered low/high blood pressure's dividing line.)
I do not know much about heart murmurs so I can't tell you anything about that with a clear consience. However, I can tell you that if it is bothering you, and you feel that your regular doctor isn't reassuring you or helping you like you would want, then certainly get an appointment with your cardiologist. At the very least call and ask some questions, that is what they are there for.
Just knowing that you are getting some more information can be enough to help you mentally. Keep us posted
