I also posted on IBS board, I was not sure where to ask this.
I went in for a colonoscopy and my Dr thinks it could be Crohn's. I have some blood tests today and see him next week to know for sure. (I also had 3 polyps removed and have internal hemroids)
I was wondering if anyone here has some insight to the disease, I have read about it but wanted some more info from someone that has it.
I was a bit upset but after reading yesterday it makes a lot of sense. I have so many of the symptoms.
Thanks,
Karen

I have it. www.ccfa.org is a good resource of information.
I went the past year with no problems, but recently had what's called a flare up. It's not fun but the medication I was given put it back in remission and I'm feeling normal again. I've only had two bad bouts with it really in my life, but I read a flare up can go from weeks to months. My first when diagnosed was almost 4 months, but this time was less than two since we knew how to treat it... and really only a couple of weeks of bad pain.
I think the biggest issue is there is no known cure, which seems really scary, but I'm an optimist and as long as I can keep it somewhat under control I am OK with it. Of course there are different degrees or stages of the disease and I'm probably just at the early stages. Ask me in 20 years how I feel about it, my answer might be different!
Good luck with it, I hope you feel better soon.
