I'm 20 years of age, and for the past month I've been having very odd bowel problems. At the first of the month, for about a week or so, I was getting loose bowel movements and even normal bowel movements with oil droplets in the water. It looked like someone poured some crisco into the toilet bowl. The last time it happened, I had the oil substance actually leak out but with a normal bowel movement? Weird, I know. Anyhow, after the oil droplet stopped...My bowel movement have not been normal. It's not diarhea, but it's been loose for the past 3 weeks. I get alot of pain and discomfort in the bowels before it happens. And if I miss just one day without a bowel movement, the next day I am in so much pain and so much discomfort, It nauseates me.

Is this IBS? Or is it something else? I would like anyones opinions on this. Please and Thanks. :)

It could be anything from IBS, Colitis, or even an ulcer. I had an ulcer that perforated on me when I was 29 years old. I had emergency surgery and spent several days in ICU. It's something you should see your doctor about and don't put it off. It may be something simple and nothing serious, but then again it could be something you need to have checked out by your doc.
