Did you have a DEXA scan to find out what your bone density in your hip was before or after the surgery? I don't know the answer but there are ways to get medication and treatment without having health insurance. You can volunteer to be in a clinical trial study usually done at University Hospitals but not always, or some of the pharmacutal companies will sponsor patients without health insurance and you can receive medication either free or at a very low cost. What did your doctor suggest?

That's tough to have multiple medical needs and no insurance. Does your doctor think the fracture was a direct cause of having osteoporosis? People who have healthy bones can also break bones. What was your T score?
