My left foot has been swollen for some time (3 years or so). I have been to two podiatrists and neither one could find anything wrong with it. I went for blood tests and whatever they tested for was normal. Today I noticed that it seemed to be more swollen than normal. Never any pain and the swelling never goes away. Sometimes it is not as swollen as others but it is always swollen enough that you can tell the difference between one foot and the other.
My sister has the same problem. For my sister, it started after her second pregnancy and mine was after my first pregnancy. Other then pregnancy, there is nothing else that could have caused this.
Could it be from the pregnancy? I have done a bit of research and am wondering if it could be primary lymphedema as both my sister and have the same problem. Does anyone have any expierence with this? What kind of doctor would I see to either rule out or diagnosis lymphedema?
