Wells girls, I tested about an hour ago and it was negative. Saying I'm disappointed is an understatement. I just knew we had it this time. No sign of AF, but I'm guessing she'll be raring her ugly head soon. I'm wondering if a couple of things could have affected the result- DH and I got were up this morning at 3:45 cause DH leaves for work at 4 so I went ahead and collected in a cup, but I didn't test until 9 am. Also, I urinated about 4 hours prior to collecting. Do you think it may have affected my result? I'm on cycle day 34 and my OPT was + on day 15. ARGH!!!!!!

Hi Kathy,

I'm so sorry, those HPTs are witches sometimes. I've heard of plenty of women who had negative HTPs then end up being pregnant so it ain't over till AF shows up. I'm still praying this will be the one for you. Try to hang in there, I know this is the toughest part.

I am so sorry Kathy I know how dissapointing it is.But Lori is right it aint over yet.Also I dont know if collecting urine and testing hrs later effects it I would think it might now I dont know for sure.These tests always ask to use fresh urine dont they.In any case I hope it was a mistake and it turns out u are pregnant.Take care sweetie.

I'm so sorry your test was negative. It is heartbreaking month after month. I certainly don't want to get your hopes up, but I would say it's worth testing again if you think the results might have been messed up. I do think you're supposed to use fresh urine, so maybe you do still have a chance.

Lori, Mapia and Holly- Thank you so very much for your encouragement and support. I really needed it! :) I talked it over with DH and he also recommended testing again in the morning. It's almost 2:30 pm and still no sign of AF, so maybe there's hope for me yet!

Hi Kathy, sorry your first test didn't give you BFP. I hope something was messed up with the results... wouldn't be the first time we've heard of that happening. So I'll pray that if you do test again in the morning that this time you get a BFP. Let us know sweetie!

I went ahead and tested again this morning and the result was negative yet again. Today is cycle day 35 and I don't feel like I'm even close to starting my period! My stomach is just as calm as can be- no cramps, no discharge, no spotting, nothing. Just some slight nausea this evening. I plan to call my RE'S office first thing in the morning and see what they suggest. I hate this not knowing stuff, its got to be the toughest part! If I'm going to start, then I wish I would just get it over with. What I would love is to go in tomorrow and have them tell me the tests were wrong and I actually am pregnant. That would definitely be the best!

Kathy I truely pray that those HPT's are wrong.I personally hate those things and I think they are evil.They are positive when u want them to be negitive and negitive when u want them to be positive.So u will go in for a beta tomorrow?I hope and pray u are pregnant sweetie. Please keep us posted.

You are right, not knowing is definitely the toughest bit!

Let me reassure you. When I fell PG with DD I did two HPT's, they were both negative and I had to have a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. This has happened to a few people I know so don't put too much faith into a negative HPT. It's not over until AF sings!!!

Well girls, I wish I had good news, but I don't. I went in for beta this morning and it came back negative. When I talked to the NP this morning, she said I could either wait a few days to see if I started and if not then do a blood test, or she said they could also induce a period. I decided to do the blood test today while I was up that way cause I was sick of waiting and not knowing. I wasn't about to wait until Thursday!!! They talked like about 1 in every 10 periods are odd balls, so she didn't seem really worried about it. She said if this continues happening, then they will want to look into it. It just seems so weird for me, cause I still don't have any signs of starting, and I have never missed before. And since I got a + OPK on day 15, I just figured my cycle length would be pretty regular. Guess not! I think if I haven't started by Thursday, then I will do 1 more HPT just to be safe, before they induce my period. I think I was kind of expecting a negative, so it wouldn't be so disappointing. So, I guess we try again in April. Thank you everyone for your support and concern! I'm really glad I've got you gals to talk to about this!

Kathy sweetie I am so sorry to hear u tested negitive.Like IF isent bad enough we have to deal with that witch and the bad thing is we cant do anything without her showing up.Well just know we are here for u and u are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to here about you BFN. Even after we HPT it is hard not to keep our hopes up. This part is always the worst for all of us. Soon you'll start a new cycle and with that always come renewed hope!! Good lcuk the next cycle. We will all graduate from this board one day!! :)
