ok so do you do your feet/ankles? i usually do if i will be wearing a skirt/heels and it usually comes out decent but i just switched over to subline towelettes which seem to work great for everywhere else except for my ankles/feet. they look soooo bad and noticeable! so what does everyone else do? any tips/hints? thanks so much!

I use Jergen's Natural Glow and I just try to use as little as possible on my elbows, knees, ankles, and feet. As long as I do that, it looks fine.

I like the towelettes to. However I have the same trouble. So now I start at the top of my legs and work down. Then do the arms leaving your feet and ankles till last. Same for around the knees.
If I notice a build up I wipe after tanning with a paper towel or an old wash cloth slightly wet, in those spots. Seems to work OK for me. Good luck. Let us know if that helps you.

By the way, I noticed Walmart has the real Tan Towel. They are great and not badly priced.

Ooh I have one packet of the tan towel and still haven't tried it! I'll have to test it out. I haven't used any of the other towlettes and usually I use an airbrush spray. The airbrush one I use goes on fine on my feet and ankles and I don't have to do anything special.. I just don't spray much on them. When I used to use a gel self tanner, I would always apply some lotion on these areas FIRST, then apply the self tanner more lightly here. I would also dab some off if there was any excess. Definitely exfoliate with a scrub before hand if you feel like your skin is rougher in these spots.

thanks for the replies everyone! I exfoliate really good before a tanning but i guess these tan towels have a learning curve!LOL! For now i think i will just stick with the gel as i can apply that really well it just takes a bit longer to dry. I will look into the tan towel though as i have heard and seen great results from it. my feet/ankles came out normal this time but i will have to make sure to get the larger areas first and then do the more delicate areas. thanks ladies!
