Started Zoloft about 5 weeks ago. two weeks at 50mg and have been at 100mg for about 3 weeks now.....
Just wondered if I should give it some more time. Does not seem to be working yet. or maybe my dose is not high enough?
Any suggestions?
God Bless!

hi super,
i think you should give it some more time. maybe another 3 weeks or so...
zoloft can go up to 200mg/day, if you need it. always talk with your dr. about your symptoms, and in order to weight the pros and the cons of upping the med.
wishing you much luck!!

What a slow "titration" or upping the dose. On some of the rx sites it says after a week the dose can be increased--by your doctor that is. That's how it was done when I started on it.
Are you not noticing ANY change? Less irritation/anger? Better sleep?
Call your prescribing doc and let them know you feel like you're stalled at 100 mg. I know for new mothers (and all the stress that goes with that), 100 mg. is a point where most BEGIN to feel a difference. Being you're male, it may take a higher dose. --I also know of women who've been up to 300 mg., with a doc (psychiatrist) willing to go to 400.

You should know soon. My doc put me on 100 as a therapeutic dose.
