Hi Everyone!
I have been doing a lot of research on the web and found this board so I decided to join. My name is Christina. I'm 27 and am currently going through my second round of clomid. I am at 150mg and go tomorrow to get my hcg shot. I discovered I had a problem last year when I stopped my pill to get pregnant and never got a period. I started seeing an re in june last year and started with 50mg of clomid with no results. He immediately put me up to 100mg and I reacted to that but did not end up pg. I had to take some time off b/c of cysts and then I just didnt go back for a while. I was really depressed about the whole thing for a while and didnt have the motivation. Now I am really ready to go and am back in the saddle again. I just wanted to make contact with women who know what I am going through. I have to ask if anyone taking clomid has had bad nausea and dizziness as a side effect? I didnt have a problem last summer when I was taking it but this round knocked me for a loop. I could barely stand cd4-6. (I am trying to get the abbreviations down so bare with me on that.) Nice to meet you all and good luck to everyone out there trying!

Hi Christina and welcome to the boards. You have come to the right place for all the support you can ever need. I am so sorry to hear that you are having AF problems. I have never taken Clomid so I can not answer your questions but there are many women on here that have who I am sure will help you. Here is a little about me, My name is Stephanie, I have been TTC for almost 4 years with no luck. I am doing IUI with donor sperm. So far I have had 8 iui, the first 4 were natural, the next 3 I took femera and this last one I used injectables. I should be doing injections again this month but I had cysts so I had to sit this month out.
Anyway, welcome tot he board, I hope that we are all able to help you get thru this and I hope that a big BFP is in your near future.

Hi Christina and welcome!
I have taken clomid in the past but had no bad reaction to it - just hot flushes which were unpleasant but not unbearable. Sorry to hear you reacted badly to it. I wonder if it is because of the higher dose?
Good luck, I hope your stay on this board is short and that you get your BFP soon.

Hi Christina
Welcome to the board!
I'm a newbie as well and I'm really enjoying all the support and advice.
I'm currently on 50mg of clomid and the only side-effect I've experienced is the hot flushes, I agree that it could be the high dosage that is causing the side-effects that you're experiencing.
My DH and I have been married for a year and 2 months and we've been TTC for the last 9 months.
I trust that your time here with us will be invaluable and short!

Welcome! (to all of you newbies!) I agree with the other ladies, this board is the best! The ladies on here are fantastic. When you feel like no one understands, someone on here does. Everyone is so supportive, and we definitely need it with all the stuff we go through!
I took a few rounds of Clomid, but didn't have to take such a high dose. I did fine with it, but I think one of the other ladies is right. I would be willing to bet that you are just not doing as well with such a high dose. Maybe you could talk to your doc about it. I don't know when you take it, but I always found it best to take it before bedtime. Good luck!

I also would like to say welcome to the board.
Here's my story Dh and I have been TTC for 4 yrs. I did 2 months 2 yrs ago with clomid and nothing. I got bad headaches from it but that's all. We are now both 35. Last month DH did his testing again and I did bloodwork, they took 4 viles of blood and we go for the results in 2 weeks.
It is a difficult time for us but we put our faith and trust in God that all will work out. Crying, complaining, getting jealous and stressing didn't get me anywhere so I am going to be at peace and keep believing for my little miracle.
Good luck and God Bless.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome! I did get my shot Monday morning and now its just a waiting game to see if everything worked. I just say my prayers and thats all I can do now. My prayers out to all of you as well. Thanks again for the welcome and the feedback on the clomid. The last time, I was on it at 100mg and just had hot flashes too but I guess the higher dose made me sick. I mentioned it to the doctor this week and he said that I was probably just adjusting to the clomid. Nothing to worry about. Thanks ladies and I hope you all get good news soon.
