I used DEXATRIM a couple decades ago when it's main ingredient was phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride...it worked well but was causing too many STROKES so it was banned. They switched to using EPHEDRINE in the formulation but then THAT was banned because, you guessed it, it was causing STROKES.

So now, the keep the well-advertised name and use CAFFEINE as the main agent....coffee is a LOT cheaper and tastes better (and doesn't cause STOKES! :D)
