Hello ladies, this is just the kind of news I need to make me feel better after my awful week last week. So here goes, let me know what you think? My boss has a son who has a baby with a girl that he is not married to. Because my bosses son is in Iraq my boss is helping support her grandson while he is gone. Well, this girl has become pregnant again and since she cannot afford the 1st one she is thinking about putting it up for adoption. She was talking to my boss about this and my boss of course knows about the probelms that DH and I are having and told this girl that if this is something she is considering to keep DH and I in mind. This girl is almost 5 months pregnant so if she does give it up and pick us then we could be parents real soon. I am trying not to get my hopes up, I have met this girl and she is kinda wishy washy but I do fell like if she does give it up then she would consider us and we would probly get the baby. Anyway, I thought that this was good news for DH and I for a change, like I said no guarntees but it is a nice thought.

Wow Stephanie, this could be a really good thing for you and DH. It is certainly something you two deserve! Please be careful not to get your hopes up too high just yet though. As you said, she can be wishy washy. She may change her mind a million times before finally reaching a decision. If she does decide to go through with it, I can't see any reason why she wouldn't pick you and DH. She would certainly know the baby would be loved deeply and well cared for. If this does become a reality, I would recommend talking to an attorney and making sure you and DH have rights so that if she changed her mind in the future, she couldn't fight you for custody. Maybe she could sign something legally binding giving up her rights. I wish you guys all the best, and I pray that your dreams come true really soon!! :angel:

Oh Stephaine this could be great for u 2:blob_fire :blob_fire .I would defently be careful like u said.I am not sure on the legal points of adoption but I think they have u until the baby is born to change their mind.I will defently be praying for u guys though cause u so deserve this.Do u know the sex of the baby?Well sweetie keep us posted and I really hope this works out.

No she will not find out for another month what the sex is. She has no health insurance so I think that DH and I are going to pay for her to have it done. Maybe the more we help her the more likely she will pick us if she decides to go the adoption route.

We are going to just stay calm, no think about it to much or count on it at all. If it happens we will be happy if not then that is ok also because no matter what sooner or later we will be parents its just with this it would be sooner than later

Exactly my girl u will be parents.Please please be careful cause I dont want this girl getting a free ride for her appts and labor and then she wont give up the baby.Please talk to a lawyer which I am sure u will.I would hate to see this girl get all this money out of u and then act like she doesnt know u.

Wow this board is just full of news. . . sometimes its soooo difficult to catch up due to difference in time zones. Other times i don t completely understand all that s going on since we are still TTC on our own. But i am so glad to be here.
