sendarion 03-26-2007, 02:24 PM Ok i dont wanna take valtrex now if it makes your hair fall out and from what i read on here to has happen to alot of people. could someone please list me some things to try? im onl lysine now. I had just started garlic pills but i heard they are high in arginine and well if your talking lysine your defeating the purpose. anyway responses would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!
overitall 03-27-2007, 05:58 PM I wouldnt worry about the garlic containing arginine, its too small of an amount but they says garlic oil or oregano oil applied or lemon balm ( which in german studies and various hospitals across the globe, that once lemon balm is applied the herpes wount show up in that place again.
so here's what i take
super lysine+ caps which i found at the store
contains
100mg vit C
l-lysine 1500 mgs
garlic bulb 200mgs
echinacea 100 mgs
propolis 25mgs
licorice root 15 mgs
goldenseal root 15 mgs
you take 3 capsules on an empthy stomach daily
also RMA
red marine algae (rhodocept) 540 mgs and 1 capsule daily. oh and a hint... buy it online it way too expensive in stores 25 bucks a bottle
also i take an additional l-lysine 500mg tab
so its 5 caps a day
then a multi-V(antioxident formula) with a meal and an r-alpha lopic acid
i eat well, i do eat peanut butter because i dont eat meat only occassional fish
and i do go tanning
im writing this to see if it helps anyone else out
this virus is a mind game more than an STD so keep your mind in good thoughts and focus on "willing" the virus to sleep. watching the secret really helped alot

thanks so much! is there any affect upon the liver from all this? What is your progress from outbreaks when taking this?
overitall 03-28-2007, 03:04 AM well , the l-lysine is broken down and most of it is converted to glutamine
your liver from what i hear isnt affected, there vitamins
i know too much C can cause kidney stones.. i went down that route and had a kidney stone the size of a domestic house cat.
not nice.
and i have been recently just a fluke blood test they found hsv2 ( i freeaked went to two different labs) and they found the same thing
never had an outbreak
i think i had a sweat pimple down there in eight grade but nothing i can remember ..( im 33 now) just finding out has really made my brain nuts, the depression hit in, but im fighting it now. so im choosing life and goodness for my body
i have never had any symptoms, sores, itches that im aware of so i honestly cant tell you, but im getting a jump on it now. Someone i know thats there method and they have hsv1 and hsv2
hope it helped...
now valtrex everyday can hurt your liver, i think you have to go for blood tests every 6 months while taking the drug from what i hear. I filled the prescription but i dont want to take a drug when i can take a supplement and go the natural route. and im a guy the last thing i want is thinning of my hair.

so the super lysine contains all that in one pill? should i buy online or what store did you find that.
overitall 03-28-2007, 02:59 PM i bought mine in the grocery store. it was 9 bucks i think... you take 3 a day.
it has all that stuff in it, in my opinion its got enough of everything that has been proven to have antiviral properties from reading. thats my opinion
its in the vitamin section or in a viatmin store just write the ingredients down and match it to the bottle its a green bottle
and i even tried this other stuff i bought online and i didnt notice anything
from one peer to another
hope it helped

i just bought some tee tree oil in a small bottle at walmart when i put it on should i leave it on? or wash it off after a few minutes?
do you think anything about intake on foods?
overitall 03-29-2007, 08:30 PM hey there
just stick to foods high in lysine
they say nuts are the worst and can be triggers (especially women) something with thier monthly hormones and the nuts bring on outbreaks
like peanut butter
go to the net and type in lysine rich foods and that will help you modify your diet i know broccoli and chicken are high
and dont wash off the tree tea leave it on
StripedSocks 03-30-2007, 11:26 AM The preservatives in foods are bad for outbreaks too. I mean, there's only so much that's "not bad" or potentially outbreak causing really...ha. I've gone mostly organic since I was diagnosed. I still eat things that aren't, but for the most part...organic...not to mention healthier in general!

awesomeangie 05-20-2007, 07:32 AM I stopped using valtrex years ago... I didn't want to take valtrex everyday and it was too expensive anyways.
I use Acyclovir pills and Zovirax ointment. At the first signs of an OB, I start using them.
Audrey-B 05-23-2007, 05:02 AM Hi overitall, how are things going for you? :)
I haven't been around in a bit and i see new faces and same old problems. I'm still not taking any pharamceutical meds. I have kept up with my echinacea a bit before and a bit after ovulationg and i seem to be have reasonable success. Not 100% mind you, but this year seems to be a better year than last year, but it all coincided with trialling the echinacea.
As i mentioned in another post, i have also taken to trialing the use of carmex ointment around ovulation time in the area where i'd normally get an o/b.
I still use straight tea trea, applying it with a q-tip, right onto the o/b the moment it's obviously an o/b. It stops the itching and general stinging.
I seem to come across the use of lemon balm more and more. I read somewhere on here that it might stop the herpes o/b from appearing in that spot, but then again, where might it reappear next time. I'd rather keep my at my anal area and away from the vaginal area most definitely! I'll leave this one till i see more info.
