Hi,
I have had really long cycles since aug last year they have ranged from 35,50 and 72 days. i used to have a a regular 28day cycle even off the pill! ive been to the docs three times they havnt ever suggested inducing periods or giving me drugs and she keeps telling me it should sort itself out its really annoying because i really think there is something wrong with me and my docter isn't taking me seriously

Anyone on clomid? just wondering how long the docs left you to ttc before they decided to help you with drugs? :)

They always say 1 year if you are under 30, but speak with your obg/yn and explain to him/her that you know your cycle and believe something is wrong. When I had my D&C, I stayed for 3-4months without AF and I had to worry my obg/yn to do something and I ended up having a scar tissue. I will suggest you speak up. Goodluck.

I agree, they usually make you TTC for 1 year before they will do anything to help you. But if your cycles are that out of whack, they should see you sooner. I would second the suggestion that you speak up and tell them you know there is something off and you don't want to wait.

GOOD LUCK!!

I saw my doctor at 8 months of ttc and showed her my temperature charting to make sure it all looked normal. She did bloodwork to check for ovulation on day 21 of my cycle. It came back low and so then she put me on clomid the next month. I was only 26 at the time. So, you don't really need to necessarily wait one full year. If I were you I would find another doctor, especially if you are having extremely long cycles, because odds are you may not be ovulating each month. Best of luck to you!
