Iam,

That's a loaded question. Thermodynamically speaking I think you would need something under 1000 calories. SAFELY speaking, you should NOT go under 1200 calories, EVER...and that won't give you the extreme 2 pounds a week you seek.

Compromise and go with 1200 calories for the max you can lose safely...it might be over a pound a week, it might not.

I agree with Lenin,
one thing you may try to do tho..(if you haven't already)
Exercise the heck outta that little body, if you workout at a gym or at home just exercise a little longer each day be sure and drink lots of good old cold water....thats to help speed up your weight loss.

I exercise for about 45 minutes on the Norm, but I got to thinking I'm already wet and sweating ect,,ect,, why not go for another 15 minutes, but a lot of that depends on how I'm feeling or how big hurry I'm in.

You can look at it like this. To burn one pound of fat you need to burn 3,500 calories. So add the calories that you burn to the calories that you cut out of your daily meals and you can fiqure it out.

You body burns calories 3 ways through out the day.
1=basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the amount of energy your body needs to function at rest.

2=physical activity, consumes the next highest number of calories. Physical activity includes everything from making your bed in the morning to jogging. Walking, lifting, bending and just generally moving around burns calories.

3=thermic effect of food is the final addition to the number of calories your body burns. This is the amount of energy your body uses to digest the food you eat --

You don't really have that much weight to lose (in my opinion) so 2lb a week seems a little extreme. I think you could even eat 1500 and still lose weight if you put in a little excercise a few times a week

I Do Exercise But I Don't Seem To Get Anywhere So Thats Why I Think I May Be Still Eating More Than I'm Supposed To Although I Dont Think I Do. Basically This Is A Typical Day: Egg Whites With Spinach And Lf Cheese, Turkey Bacon And Glass Of Milk Or Veggie Juice For Breakfast, 2 Low Fat String Cheese For Snack, Lunch - Either A Salad With Chicken And Olive Oil, Glass Of Milk, Or 2 Eggs And 2 Slices Turkey Bacon With Milk, Some Almonds For Snack (20) Dinner Is Usually Chicken And Lots Of Veggies And Milk Or Fish. So I Don't Know... I Exercise 4-5 X Week Doing Cardio And Weight Training 2 X. What Else Can I Do????

I FEEL YOUR PAIN! I eat healthy....salads, soups, veggies, and fruits. I RARELY eat out or eat anything that is not good for me. I have been exercising 30 minutes a day....and I haven't lost anything.

I am 146 lbs....5'3, and my BMI is 27. They need to come up with something for people like us. We aren't morbidly obese....but we need something to help with this.

I am trying combo pilling....and its not doing anything either.

I weigh 133lbs and am 5'3". I am not used to being up this high, and I didn't realize that I was WAY overeating on the calories, especially since I dont get any really hard workouts in lately. So, my new thing that I am attempting is the high fiber/low fat diet. I love it!!!! I eat foods to keep me full- like whole wheat bread, pears, beans, etc...if you look at the mediteraneans diet...(not really a diet, but just the way they eat) they are the healthiest people on the planet, they don't eat a lot of meat. They mostly eat fish/shellfish, chicken -maybe once a week and red meat if at all only 1 a month...I have cut out meat from breakfast and lunch...and only eat chicken or fish for dinner if at all. I think so far this is working, but haven't been doing it too long, although i feel really good. I have really bad willpower, and I LOVE junk food. So, this helps because the foods I eat does make me feel REALLY full. If you do a lot of research online youll get more motivation to do somethign healthy for you. Also, I work with some teachers at a school that are always on new diets, and I listened to them (at 50 years old) say they've been on and off all these diets and are always struggling, so my conclusion is that you HAVE to adopt a healthy lifestyle, and stay away from the bad stuff.

My starting weight was 144lb and am 5'3....I now weight 125 and am on my way to 120lb. ALl I did was write down EVERYTHING I ate...and I mean everything. I stayed right at 1200-1400 calories and never go over except for my one cheat day a week. You have to write everything down because you really don't realize how many calories you are taking in even though you are eating healthy. This only took me a couple of months to achieve. This has been the easiest Diet...(if you want to call it that) since I eat what I want and just make sure I don't go over my calories no matter what. I hope this helps.
