Went to the doctor today and they said my blood pressure was 112/88 which was fine. The top number is just fine for me...but the lower number is personally too high. What does this tell me anyway? All I know is that the bottom numbers used to read in the 60-70s...and anything in the upper 70s or above was higher than I like to see.
I'm female in the my middle 50s and I take no medicines at all.
Another interesting thing with me:
When I'm happy and/or content (relaxed) my blood pressure is higher
When I'm angry or upset it drops
Does anyone else's blood pressure do this? I thought happy/relaxed would have been lower and angry/upset would have been higher.
Thanks,
Sania

Blood pressure does fluctuate depending on physical and emotional stress as well as time of day. The top number is the pressure when your heart is contracting, the bottom number is when it is relaxed.
