I have been having a dull pain about an inch under my left breast which has now spread to about an inch above. The dull pain is not too bad but I do get sharp shooting pains around that area that have been coming and going. I am getting an echo tomorrow to rule out heart issues, and have been told it could also be my digestive track?
Has anyone else experienced similiar issues? This pain feels so deep like it is my heart or lungs. I am only 32 and am very active!

Oh I get alot of that alright... I figure it is usually when there is a burp building up inside my chest that I cannot burp out.. so I try to drink some warm tea.. preferably ginger with honey and it goes away.. Ihave had some heart tests bec of that and been on 2 trips to the ER but they didnt found anything at all... I still have it from time to time but I just tired of panicking and just try my best to ignor it

I get the same pain over my left breast. It scared me so much that I went to the ER. They ruled out my heart and said something is going on in your stomach. I had my gallbladder removed 9 weeks ago and I am still experiencing indigestion and chest pain so I thought I had GERD/Acid reflux but Endoscopy, CT and Uppper Barium GI find so sign of it yet I have all the symptoms. Last night I took a 1/4 tab of the smallest dose of Ativan and I feel pretty good today. I stopped taking nexium two days ago because it was not working for me.

I have written about this previously, and I was terrified. Mine started about last October. Then what I thought were "heart pains" started. Just under the left breast, sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little more to the left, but constant. I went to a cardiologist who did every test but a heart cath. I wore the monitors, EKG, echogram, etc., you name it, it was done. I went back a month or so later, because I could not believe something was not wrong with my heart. But I'm now convinced it's not heart related.
So then I went to gastro doctor. He did endoscope. I do have the H Pylori stomach infection, and mild gastristis. Pain still didn't go away. So had HIDA scan on gallbladder, was only functioning 7%. Had gallbladder removed 4 weeks ago. Still have that left sided chest pain.
Gastro doctor did colonoscopy just today, as he said even though the pain is up higher on the left, that an intestinal type problem could be felt in that area. I had 2 polyps removed. One was very tiny. Course nothing has gotten rid of that left sided chest pain. I still feel it today. I have not had an upper GI yet. Maybe later. I'm just trying to deal with it.
But as someone mentioned Ativan, I went to my Primary Doctor a couple of weeks ago because I was at my wits end with this left sided heart type pain. He put me on Zoloft (antidepressant) and Klonopin. Klonopin is an anxiety reliever. I only take 1/2 tablet a day. But I swear it has helped me. So I know anxiety does not help when a person is so worried about something physically. Again, I've had this left sided upper chest type pain for a long time. It does feel just like "heart" pains. It is deeper. Not like muscle. Didn't mean to be so long-winded but I know how scary it is.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I went to have my echo today and everything turned out okay. My doctor gave me Aciphex samples which he asked me to take for a week, and if my pains go away we know it is my digestive track. I just have a hard time believing this is what is causing my pain. I never get heartburn, and wouldnt I if it was due to digestive track? Also, it is just so bizarre that I have had these pains for 2 months--every single day. I am hoping that this medication relieves these pains so I can have peace of mind knowing it is nothing serious like my lung or heart.
I will keep you all posted, please do the same!
