View Full Version : 24 Hour Fitness-annual fee error?

I'm wondering if anybody else has encountered the "computer error" that I recently encountered at 24 Hour Fitness: Two years ago I paid over $1050 which covered my initial joining fees plus the first 3 years of membership, along with their promise that, starting in Year 4, I'd pay only $99 per year as my annual membership renewal fee. However, recently when I asked them to check my annual renewal fee in their computer, their computer showed that my annual renewal fee, starting in Year 4, would be $348! When I told them that this must be an error, they essentially said that I would have to pay the $348 unless I could locate my original receipt (for the $1050+) and show it to them as proof of their error. Fortunately, after a week of looking, I was able to locate the receipt, but I would've been awfully angry if I hadn't been able to locate it. Has this happened to anybody else??
Also, can anybody recommend other websites where I could post this message in order to reach a larger audience?

I've had that kind of problem with other companies. The receipts saved me every time. I'm real good at saving receipts! :)
