Does anyone have any recommendations for lotion to use in tanning beds at the salon?
I bought CT7, which was $90+, and I can't stand it!!! I think the smell is too strong and I hate the fact that it has a bronzer because if I don't put it everywhere I end up with orange splotches.
Because my skin isn't too dry, I don't really need to use lotion all the time, so I am interested in lotion that isn't too expensive. I also don't want it to have a smell (I'd rather wear perfume or something). I also don't want it to have a bronzer OR any extras, like tingling or cooling.
Any suggestions?

Also, would regular lotion work (or something else)? I get so much color without using the lotion they sell at the salon, so I'm just wondering what makes the lotion "so special".
Thanks for any suggestions and help!

I use Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil and I love it. It sort of smells like coconut. The ONLY thing I don't like is it feels like baby oil, but other then that it works great and it's like 5 bucks a bottle. You can buy it from any Wal-Mart, Target, WalGreens, CVS..etc.

Like I posted on the other topic on tanning lotions...I love the Maui Babe tanning lotion..they also have a new product that is just made for tanning beds and I have yet to try it. Maui babe also makes a after tanning lotion that is susposed to help you keep your color and things of that nature.

I love how it smells...and it feels great. You get a nice natural looking tan and you will brown super fast...I have used products with accelerators and bronzers and this has none of that...all natural ingredients... (oils, kona coffee) and works better than them all.

The only unfortunate thing about it...you can only find in hawaii or online, but it is worth it.

I used to work at a tanning salon and we only sold John Abate lotion. The stuff is great! The best thing is that it is all natural so you dont have to worry about breaking out because of it. I love the citron sorbet and the melon frappe(tingle).

to be honest, ive worked in the tanning industry for over 5 years now... the only thing that is neccesary to use is moisturizing lotion. (after u tan, and throughout the day) The other lotions dont really do that much-so arent worth the money.

All you need to get a good tan is healthy skin-and thats what the moisturizing lotion will do...

Thanks for all the suggestions!
I think I'll just buy something cheap, because I'm on such a tight budget and my skin is tanning fine without it.
Anfchik, that's what I was kind of thinking...like, isn't lotion, lotion? It's just so annoying because every time I walk in there the lady asks me what lotion I'm using (none), and she ALWAYS insists on selling me some...which are like $60... seems like a total waste if I'm already getting the results I go there for.
