im 14 i weigh about 120. i been working out at home for about a month. i been doing some excerises my physical therapist gave me for my shoulder. and i use 10lb barbells. Does any one know any other excerises i can do to work out my shoulders ?

i have gotten alot stronger since i started working out but my arms do not get biggger i eat alot. But does arm size really matter ? i dont got big forearms but i am stronger then most people with arms bigger then mines. when i work out my muscles just get stiffer it dont get bigger. should i work out more often ? usually after working out for 30minutes and resting for like 5minutes i dont feel tire anymore and can do more weights but i just get hungry. a friend of mine said when you work out after your done just eat a snack bar and you get big forearms that way is that true ?

Must not be doing so hot in 9th grade english... anyhow what are you looking for? Are you trying to recover from an injury with your shoulder or are you trying to build muscle? Im 14 myself and have been lifting for about 3 months. If you really want to build muscle your going to need more than 1 10lb dumbell.
If you have a benchpress and adjustable dumbells your set. If you don't and you really want to start lifting, you can find them pretty cheap if you look in the right place. I got all my stuff at goodwill for under 50 bucks.
As for excercises for your shoulder, there are alot you can do with what I mentioned. You should go buy a weight lifting book with some techniques in it and stuff. Or check one out. Hope this helped.

i have cracking in my shoulder. from a injury a long time ago. so it kinda prevents me from doing some excerises. like some times i just do situps it cracks and its uncomfortable. like my biceps are stronger then my shoulder muscles. do pushups help with shoulder muscles ?

Yea push-ups would strengthen your shoulders, but I wouldn't expect to see any size difference. Push-ups aren't puting that resistance on your shoulder muscles.

OMG Ruh-Roh, you shouldn't talk about doing so hot in HS English, when you obviously aren't so hot yourself. =)

awds, if you are trying to recover from an old injury, then you should not add exercises to those your physical therapist gave you until you are released by your PT. You can do OTHER exercises for other parts of your body, but be sure to clear any upper body moves with your PT to ensure it will not interfere with your shoulder work.

And, Ruh-Roh, Krista makes a good point. This is a message board, not an English paper. And its an INTERNATIONAL message board - some of the posters do not use English as a first language. You might want to keep that in mind.
