Hello everyone! I've chosen to post here b/c after going through WebMd's symptom checker, PCOS is at the top of the possibilites list; however, many of you suffer from symptoms I've never had. I just need guidance, I'm not sure what's going on with me. I've given birth 3 times with no real complications. My body has a tendancy to go into preterm labor, all three deliveries were preterm but everything was fine. Each pregnancy lasted longer with bed rest and Breathine. Since my 3rd child was born in 2002, I've experienced and excruciating pain that begins as a very mild pain. It starts in my lower back or lower pelvic area. If I had to put my finger on it, it would be right above my hair line. I travels into my rectum as well. The pain starts off as very mild and within seconds the pressure and shooting pains are so horrible that I find myself in the floor, on my hands and knees rocking, back and forth. I can't stand, sit, ly down on my back or my stomach. It ususally lasts for a few mintues and then starts to fade. Once I can stand again I feel very tender and achy "down there" and then by the next day I'm back to normal again. There is never any blood or discharge afterward. I literally feel like my insides are twisted. I always know when its coming... the small pains in the beginning are enough warning. Well, last night I told my husband, "I feel that pain coming on again." I felt the pain begin and I felt it travel as it always does, into my rectum and then it just stopped. Today the pain is mild but still there. I have horrible allergies and every time I cough or sneeze I feel a great deal of pressure in my pelvic area and in my rectum, and I'm afraid that a cough or sneeze will trigger the severe pain. I've called my OB's office and I can't get in until June!! Does anyone have any idea of what is going on with me. I'd really appreciate any feed back.
Thanks!

Oh, I almost forgot... my periods were normal before I chose the Mirena IUD. I've not had not period since the second month of it being in my uterus. I've had no complications from it though.
Thanks!
