I know this may be a dumb question, but could someone tell me the right way to do a squat. Like how i should stand and how to squat. I guess the proper way to do one, because I started doing them yesterday and Im not sore at all today. I started doin these instead of lunges, just to change my routine a little. Thanks for your help.

Stand with your legs about hip-width apart and with a natural curve in your back. Then, squat like you are sitting in a chair. Make sure your knees stay over your ankles and do not go out past your toes.

Did you use weight? If not, you might not be sore. Not being sore does not mean you did it wrong.

Also drive through your heels, not the balls off your feet. For regular squats, lower your self so your upper legs are parallel to the floor. For deep squats, go lower. Stick to regular squats in the main as deep squats are a bit harder on your knees.
If you don't use weight, try doing more squats or do them slower. Also try isometric squats, ie holding the squat potition for 60 seconds or so in between squat sets ,and one legged squats.
