Hello everyone

Well I am gettin better and have been tryin really hard, long story short I have gained, not sayin how much because I know we arnt allowed, but was worryin a bit because I havnt been able to let go of my scales yet so I have been doin a weigh in every week, but most of my collagues at work in the past 2 weeks have commented on how healthy I look, and obviously my first thought was oh no they are lookin at my stomach, but I asked what they meant, and they said that my face doesnt look guant and my eyes are shining and even my hair looks shiny, noone commented on any weight I had gained, its probably only noticeable in my eyes anyway! lol!

But just to say thank you for everyone's support on here, there have been some trying times but when I found this board I feel that was the start of my recovery properly, I am not fully recovered by a long way, but thought I would let you know how I was doing.

Take care everyone!

Tammy

P.S I feel great aswell, not tired and faint anymore, lots of energy and my children are really benefiting form me getin better aswell.

Congratulations on doing so well!

You sound like you are feeling so much better physically, and I'm sure you are looking happier and healthier again. One thing that really benefited me during recovery was once I started eating again, I could sleep again without problems. It was such a huge, huge relief for me to no longer dread the nights, plus, you wake up feeling much more energized after a full night of sleep instead of a couple broken hours of sleep here and there.

Hopefully, you can leave the scales behind eventually, but if you are managing to gain and not freak too much over the weight, it's probably not as detrimental to your recovery as it would be for others (who'd see the number go up & immediately begin restricting, overexercising, purging).

I'm sure your kids are happy to be getting their mother back, and you are setting a good example for them.
