When I take my BP with cuff, Put on cuff reasonably tight, pump up to at least 20 over highest expected reading, slowly release pressure, needle falls, then needle will hesitate, then systolic sound is heard ,after a couple of hesitations, when lower reading is last heard, the needle will hesitate as needle goes to zero. My pulse is quite strong, I can look at my arm and take reading, or put my back tight against a wall. I am 9 years post AVR. COMMENTS, Please, Thanks.

I'm not sure what your question is- sorry.

in other words, when the needle hesitates, without sound (just heart beat/pulse) this would be heart rate, hesitation with audio would be systolic number. hope thinks makes sense. Thanks for reply.
