Hi,
I'm an active healthy 43 yr old caucasian female. I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis in my hips-specifically the neck area. The left is T -2.5 and the right is_1.7. I'm trying to research as to what the underlying cause of this secondary osteo could be. I had my GP check calciam, Vit D. PTH and run a Celiac panel. All were normal except for the Vit D. I'm deficient At 18. Range is 35-100. My doc says just to supp with 800 oral vit D 2x per day. I need more answers and am at a loss as which direction to go. Any advice, suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Susan! I'm anxious to see the answers posted. My osteoporosis started at a very early age also. I have learned SO much from others here.....Pam;)
