:) This is a weird question...but I am about 4 weeks post-op and realized today that that cutting my toenails is going to be so hard after this!!!! I can't even imagine doing it at this point, but lets be honest, its been since before my surgery and I'm gonna have to at some point....anybody whose been there have any stories and advice???
Weird, I know, but I can't help but think about this kind of stuff...I'm a slight spazz :-)

I'm a guy and maybe not following but do you mean since the angle is different now or because you still have pins or some physical block?
I had pins and just waited until the pins were out and bandages off...
Sorry if I am not understanding...

I do have one pin now....don't plan on doing anything until that's out.
I guess I'm just worried about it hurting or being uncomfortable....I am so protective of my foot and so nervous about touching or hurting it

I understand completely..at least in my experience once I did trim them...about 6 weeks post op after pins out...it was no problem.

I too, was nervous about this especially because it looked like my nail was bulging out towards the top, I suppose from swelling, plus I have super tough, thick nails. I eventually gave it a little trim very carefully with a nail clipper. However, it might be better idea to use a small pair of manicure scissors instead, as nail clippers can be kind of harsh and abrupt. It has now been 9 weeks since my surgery and I still seem to have swelling underneath the nail and it is still sensitive. But I'm hoping that with time and as the nail grows out, this will disappear. Hope this helps. :)
