View Full Version : My 3 year old has cancer

My 3 yr old daughter was diagnosed with liver cancer that spread to her lungs in May 2006. Stage 4. She had 85% of her liver taken out & has gone thru 6 rounds of chemo. Right now, she shows no signs of cancer, but I am scared that it will come back. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Ask, your Doctor about a marrow transplant from your own rib or your husbands rib, also ask about transplanting part of one of your ribs to her! I work in the field of Bibilical Physics, and we believe the Bible has the answer for all physical problems; This idea is not main stream: Yet, if you read the Bible it will share this and many other healing truths with you and your doctors!! God Bless and save your child in Jesus we pray AMEM!!!

Hi Tori's Mom,
I have several people in my life who have had this illness but not gone through it with a child....
Your post really jumped out at me as I have a 3 year old son so when I read the subject heading it felt like something just slapped me!!! My heart breaks for you and what you are all going through. Looks like you've been dealing with this for almost a year now, how awful. My son has had some issues but nothing like this, I just cannot imagine.
What is her prognosis? If she is cancer free, this is a great thing..... My mom has had breast cancer twice and she always lives with the fear of it coming back....unfortunately that will never leave you. Have the doctors given you any idea of what the chances are of it coming back? Some types of cancers have better cure rates than others...
I so hope and pray this will never return to your daughter and I will say a prayer for her.......I have no clue who you are but your post really touched me today. My heart just breaks for you as a mother.........just pray God will keep her safe from now on and give you all the peace and happiness you deserve.
God bless,
Carsam

My daughters prognosis is less than 50%. If it just stayed in the liver, her chances would have been good. But because it spread to her lungs, it's more likely to come back. The doctor doesn't say how likely. She just tells us to enjoy every day with her. We also have 2 boys, ages 14 years & 12 years & Tori, who has cancer is now 3years & a little girl that is 2 years. So as you can see, we have our hands full. Thank you all so much for your replies. Please keep us in your prayers.

Hi Tori's Mom....
4 kids....wow....that's overwhelming even if they're all healthy. I want to say something meaningful to you about your daughter but all I can say is to treasure every moment and put your prayers for her in Gods hands. I hope and pray she will live a long healthy life. I am so sorry you have to go through this and for her as well. God bless you and before I sleep tonight I will say a prayer for Tori and her family....I hope he is listening....

i am so saddened and sorry to read about your daughter i know she must be an angel to you and your family. i know it is hard to have a child with cancer . never give up hope on your daughter and keep your faith in god.
have you taken her to st. jude hospital in memphis tn yet if not try to get her there. i just lost my 13 year old step daughter to cancer about 6 months ago,and we fought it for 2 years and it is the hardest thing we have ever had to go through. but, her cancer was a very rare cancer not many children get it they told us 1 in a million children get it and she only had a 5% chance of living even taking chemo . but we never gave up on her . and your daughter has a chance there is still hope for her, keep praying for her and never give up. just because they tell you 50% chance that dont mean they arent wrong. they gave our daughter less than 6 months when we found out she had cancer and samantha lived for 2 more years with no treatment because there was no hope for her . but you have hope and options find out all your options even other doctors. someone will help you. keep praying and never give up . spend and enjoy every moment you can with her and let her know you love her and cherish every moment. we live in branson, mo i wish there was something i could do for your family. if there is anything you can think of right now im trying to help find options and a cure for my dads cancer he is terminal and they cant operate and he is too weak for chemo so im not giving up on him either. our daughter that passed away before she died she asked us to keep her memory alive by helping and talking to people about cancer so . we keep her alive in our hearts, thoughts. memories and helping others with cancer. we will keep you and you family in our thoughts and prayers and we will put you on our prayer list at church.

Thank you so much for your note. I'm sorry to hear about your step daughter. This is definitely the hardest thing we have ever dealt with. We keep our faith & trust in God. He has the power to heal & so far my daughter is doing good. Thanks for your prayers. We need them.
