I know that some BP meds can cause dehydration. Are there any that cause less of a problem? I run and do some sprint triathlons. Here in Texas, dehydration is a big enough concern without worrying that my meds are contributing to the problem. Thanks.

I did master swimming, 5000 yds interval training a day, and never have seen any links from BP medicine to hydration. I take a variety of BP pills, and never had a problem.

The first drugs of choice to treat hbp are often diuretics and diuretics can cause dehydration.
However, you may or may not be prescribed a diurectic by your doctor. Given your activity level, I would suggest that you call your doctor's office with your concerns. It's very likely that you can share this info over the phone without having to set up an appt.
