Hi everyone! I went off of the pill in January for health reasons and got a normal period as soon as I stopped taking the pills. Then 42 days later I got another period that was normal. By normal I mean, 5-6 days, light in the beginning and little heavier in the middle and then light again towards the end. Now I just finished my period again, this time my cycle length was 36 days and it was extremely light and only lasted two days. Does this sound normal? I am not really concerned, its just weird for my periods to be that way. Thanks in advance!

Since stopping the pill in June, all of my periods have been very light. I've run across lots of women who experience light periods after stopping the pill. I think gradually they get heavier for most women as their hormones start to balance out. In the beginning, I was lucky to need tampons 1 day, it was mostly pantyliners for spotting. They have gotten a little longer in that I now need tampons 2-3 days (though light tampons) and then just pantyliners. I think this can be normal for coming off the pill. I think it can be an indication of a thin uterine lining (which could be an issue when trying to conceive).
