I am new to this site, i just happened to looked up for anemia and goggle. I am brand new to this new anemia. Was diagnosed with iron d anemia. My ferritin was 4.1/2006 and now is up to 7. Was also, just having problems with thyroid, has some blood test done few weeks ago, was told number was .29, just 2 weeks ago, went down to .10 and i had my thyroid scan done last week. Was told by the doctor and lab tech that performed that it was low(iodine). I see my doctor in a few days. I assumed most of you know what anemia does to your body, very tired, fatigue, and so on. I get hot easily, but, at night time and i am so cold, my body cannot get any heat to keep myself warm, and extra blankets don't help me. Well, there you have it. Just want to say hello, and feels good, i am not alone, eventhough, i did not want to have it..

Hi, I have just had my blood results back, Hb is 11 and Ferritin is 5. Off to see the doc this morning to discuss this.
I too am always cold, even when the weather is warm. In bed I suffer from cold and tingling hands and feet and when I wake up my arms are freezing! I find that standing under a hot (40 degree) shower for 10 minutes before bed, then wrapping up warm straight after, helps.
Am hoping my doc will run some thyroid tests as I also suffer from falling asleep frequently, lightheadedness, dry itchy skin which is not excema and generally feeling lethargic.
Good luck to you and hope you are feeling better soon. Keep warm!!
