I have used cetaphil liquid cleanser for several years now, and it is so gentle for my sensitive skin.

As a hand/body moisturizer, I really like curel (original formula and Not the unscented which doesn't have such a pleasant scent ;)

How about anyone else out there?!! Thanks for sharing :)

My ultimate skin care product is Proactive Renewing Cleanser. I used to break out often and since I started using this it is very rare that I ever even have one pimple on my face. The only time I do is if I skip just one day of using it. I don't follow the regular routine with it though. I first wash my face with baby shampoo to remove all of the makeup. Then I apply the Practive cleanser and gently scrub to clean out the poors and I leave it on my face until it has dried and totally soaked into my pores. Then I rinse. I tried Proactive a while back without success but leaving it on my face like a mask every day is what really makes it work well for me. It also does not dry out my skin like regular benzoyl peroxide washes that you find in the drug store.

A funny thing I just figured out in the last month is they have a vending machine now in the mall by my house that sells it so I can just get the cleanser without having to buy the entire kit.

Cetaphil Cleansing Bar for washing my face followed by Neutrogena Moisture. In between, I love Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask!:D

I will only wash with handmade soap I make myself from scratch. Is very mild and pure and doesn't contain harmful parabens and stuff.

For moisturizing and toning, I have found that the Myshelle health food store line is just the best ever. But since they are pricey I would say Crisco, olive oil, vaseline, or mayonnaise applied and wiped off with a tissue or hot washcloth.

I love DHC products because they have Olive Oil in them. It isn't greasy and is for all skin types. They have a whole line of products to choose from. Just have to get your "nitch".

Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask

Jojoba oil (I got this from a tip off of this board...I use it as my first step in my nightly cleansing routine...I LOVE IT! I also put some on as a body oil last night because my chest was really dry and breaking out- woke up with clear skin! :D )

Clearasil Ultra Scar Care kit- comes with a gentle cleanser, day lotion, and night lotion. Helps clear up breakouts and gets rid of red marks without drying out my skin.

hey blue eyez, can you tell me the tip about the jojoba oil? I want to get some and try it but not sure how to add it into my face routine, do I put it on at night after cleansing to help wrinkles and acne? I am just not sure what to do. Thanks

Some people use it as a moisturizer for face...if you want to use it like that, you just massage a few drops into your skin.

However, I use it as the first step in my nightly cleansing routine:

Massage the jojoba oil all over your face thoroughly. Make sure you use plenty of oil so your makeup will be removed properly. Don't rush through this, take your time. After massaging it into your skin for a few minutes, drape a hot washcloth over your face to open up your pores. Leave it on until the washcloth cools. Remove the cloth and massage your face again. (Note: I don't always do the washcloth step...depends on how much time I have. I also normally take a steamy shower with the oil still on my face so I think it accomplishes the same thing.)

Rinse your face off with warm water until the oily residue is gone. If you have dry skin, don't follow with a cleanser. However, I have combination skin, so in order to remove all of the oil I like to follow with a gentle cleanser. It depends on how your skin reacts.

Another Jojoba oil question for blueeyez: I'm having a very hard time finding it other than one health food store that's $14.00 for 4 oz. Is this about how much it costs? I would have thought that the national chain drug stores would sell it but I can't find it there and when I ask someone if they have it they look at me like I'm speaching a foreign language...HAHA! Do you have a brand that you like best and where to buy it?

Wow, I'm surprised you're having so much trouble finding it! That's definitely really expensive....I got 4 fl oz for $6 or $7!

Any health food store should have this kind- Desert Essence. It's organic. Trader Joe's, GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe are all pretty common places that *should* carry this brand.

The guy at GNC had no idea what Jojoba oil was("what do you use it for" he asks)...HAHA! I'll try the V shoppe today...there's one near me. No trader joes and only ONE heath food store. Thanks!

That's interesting. I have never looked for jojoba at a "health" food store since I don't know of any such stores around here. At least I don't look for them since Meijer and Walmart have pretty much everything.
I find it jojoba Meijer in the organic product section... and they only have the JASON brand in small 1oz bottles... and that's $7.99.
So if I paid $8 for 1oz than I really got ripped off. I definitely don't want to spend that much on such a tiny bottle again... but I don't know where else to look for it.

I absolutely love St. Ives Apricot facial cleanser for oily skin. it has a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells, and that prevents acne. It is amazing!

Moonlight, I did find it at Vitamin Shoppe today for 7.29 for a 4 oz. bottle and it's buy one get one half off. That was the store brand. I also found it at GNC today but they did not have it only a couple weeks ago. It was more expensive at GNC though. I think it was $10 for a 4 oz bottle of their store brand....I think...

I was hoping they'd have a Vitamin Shoppe around here, but they don't. I live in MI and the closest location is in Indiana (definitely not worth driving 100 miles for jojoba oil). Fortunately they do have a lot of GNCs so I'll have to look there. Thanks!

I found it really odd that EVERYWHERE I read about beauty products(forums) everyone is singing praises about jojoba oil but I was having such a hard time finding it...time for Wally World to add it to their list of products!

I used it on my face for the first time yesterday and I really did like the way it felt. What I hate about everything I have been putting on my face at night is it's sticky...even lotion...then it feels like my face is a lint magnet and it drives me crazy how my face itches from little pieces of fuzz all over it! But Jojoba oil soaks right in and I did not have that problem:)

Montagne Jeunesse Skin Treats masks. specifically, the avocado and cucumber ones. so hard to find, but so wonderful and i'd probably cry if i couldnt buy them anymore.

Yay, I hope you continue to like it! I also love the fact that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin like many facial moisturizers. Since I've included jojoba oil in my nightly cleansing routine, my skin has already become smoother and softer, and it's only been a couple weeks! :D I'm so glad I took a chance and tried it, because I fully expected it to be gross and end up making me break out horribly.

Lol! Yeah, its either that or the aspirin mask, then followed by someone asking what its it, where do I get it, how do you use it, etc. Kinda funny if youve been on the board long enough to notice that pattern. They need to pin these ones to the top (hint hint mods)Anyways.

The ones I use faithfully are:
Cetaphil moisturizer (when my skin's more dry)
Complex 15 (More for summer months)
...these two never break me out
Proactive repairing lotion (every once in a while for the prone areas)
Aspirin mask - dissolve 3-5 lightly or uncoated aspirin in a little water in your hand to get it to pastey consistancy, I use as scrub before I rinse cleanser off
Baby powder Many uses:Before waxing to lessen pulling of skin, make unwashed hair look less oily AND recently discovered that it also gives it volume if you lightly puff on roots in layers or sections.

Everthing else Im still deciding on, but these are my holygrail items, or at least the ones I keep coming back to =)
